Bethel is, without a doubt, the most beautiful place in all of Nicaragua. It is very sad that it is soon closing, but we were very appreciative that we could spend some time there in its final days.
The biggest reason was explained to us at the end of the district convention. All 6 (?) branches in Central America had plans to expand their facilities, and so the governing body looked at that and decided that it would make more sense to centralize the branch operations for Central America in the Mexico bethel. It makes a lot of sense, even though its quite sad to see it close, many branch members are being sent into the field ministry, and truly, Central America is not very big, the area covered by other branches is a lot larger
